Removal of bevels and aluminum oxide finish is more work then refinishing a previously site-finished floor. In this floor there were additional concerns in that fillets had to be inserted in the floor to repair water damage from potted plants and bar fridge. The wood fillets were made from left over flooring, better colour match then filler. The sub-floor was also not prep'd correctly before the original installation of the floor, which caused unevenness that had to be sanded out.
